MyNotesSafe Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 29, 2025

Effective Date: October 1, 2018

MyNotesSafe is a note-taking tool. This Policy explains how MyNotesSafe collects, uses, and stores your personal information, as well as the rights you are entitled to under applicable law. We will detail the following through this Policy:

i. We will specify the types of personal information we collect and their corresponding uses, so you understand why and how we collect specific information to enable certain features;

ii. When using some features, we will collect your personal information only after obtaining your consent. For example, when using MyNotesSafe’s “Timing Reminder” feature, we will request access to your Calendar; when using the “FaceID Password” feature, we will request access to FaceID. Unless required by laws or regulations to provide such information, refusing to provide it will only prevent you from using the specific features related to that information, and will not affect your normal use of other features of MyNotesSafe.

1. Information We Collect

In the course of your using MyNotesSafe services, we collect information you actively provide while using the services, or information generated during service use, to provide you with services, optimize your experience, and ensure your usage security. The collection methods are as follows:

1.1 Information Required for Basic Features

To ensure the normal operation of services, maintain service stability, optimize service experience, and protect account security, we collect your device model, operating system version, unique device identifier, login IP address, MyNotesSafe version number, network access method and status, network quality, device sensors (e.g., gravity-sensing devices), operation logs, and service logs (e.g., information you search or browse in MyNotesSafe, service error information, referral URLs, etc.). This information is necessary to provide MyNotesSafe services and is basic data that must be collected.

1.2 Information Collected by Third-Party Services

MyNotesSafe integrates the following third-party services, which may collect relevant information to enable their own functions. Please refer to their official privacy policies for details:

– Admob (Ad Service): To display personalized ads, Admob may collect your device identifiers (e.g., IDFA for iOS devices, GAID for Android devices), device model, operating system version, and location (optional, only for targeted ad delivery). The data collector is Google LLC. For details, see the [Admob Official Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

– Firebase (Crash Analysis and Analytics Service): To troubleshoot app errors and optimize user experience, Firebase may collect app crash logs (excluding your note content), basic device information (e.g., operating system version), and app usage data (e.g., launch frequency, feature usage rate, user geographic distribution). The data collector is Google LLC. For details, see the [Firebase Official Privacy Policy](https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy).

MyNotesSafe does not access, obtain, or store any information collected by the aforementioned third-party services.

1.3 Data Interaction for Static App Recommendation List

MyNotesSafe retrieves a “static recommendation list for other apps under our brand” from its own server. The list only includes app names, icons, and official download links, and contains no personal information of users.

During this process, only “list loading status” (e.g., “successfully loaded” or not) is sent to the server. No sensitive data (such as user identity information or device identifiers) is transmitted, and the server does not store this status information.

1.4 Circumstances Where Consent Is Not Required

In accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and national standards, we may collect and process your personal information without obtaining your consent in the following circumstances:

1. Directly related to national interests such as national security and national defense;

2. Directly related to major public interests such as public safety, public health, and public welfare;

3. Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, or execution of judgments;

4. Necessary to protect your or others’ legitimate major interests (e.g., right to life, property, or reputation) where it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent;

5. Personal information you have publicly disclosed to the general public;

6. Personal information collected from legally publicly available sources (e.g., legitimate news reports, government information disclosures);

7. Necessary for entering into or performing a contract to which you are a party;

8. Necessary for maintaining the safe and stable operation of the products or services provided (e.g., detecting and troubleshooting product or service errors);

9. Necessary for conducting legitimate news reporting;

10. Necessary for conducting statistical or academic research for public interests, provided that personal information is de-identified when research results are disclosed to the public;

11. Other circumstances stipulated by laws or regulations.

Please note that the features and services we provide to you are constantly updated and expanded. If a feature or service not mentioned above requires collecting your information, we will inform you of the type, scope, and purpose of the information collection through page prompts, interactive processes, official website announcements, or other means, and obtain your consent.

Currently, MyNotesSafe does not proactively obtain your personal information from third parties. If we need to indirectly obtain your personal information from third parties for future business development, we will inform you of the source, type, and scope of use of the information before obtaining it. For example, if MyNotesSafe needs to process personal information for a specific purpose that exceeds the scope of your original authorization to the third party, we will obtain your explicit prior consent before processing. Additionally, we will strictly comply with relevant laws and regulations and require third parties to ensure the legality of the information provided.

2. Storage of Information

1. Your note content, app settings, and other data are stored **only locally on your device**. MyNotesSafe does not store any user data on its own servers.

2. If you choose to back up data via third-party cloud storage services (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive), the relevant data will be stored and managed by the corresponding cloud service provider in accordance with its privacy policy. MyNotesSafe does not access, obtain, or store this backed-up data, nor does it assume responsibility for the security of cloud storage. You must manage your backed-up data (e.g., view, delete) through the official channels of the cloud service provider.

3. Information Security

We take reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect user information against leakage, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure.

4. Use of Information

1. MyNotesSafe itself only uses the collected basic device information and operation logs for: ensuring the normal operation of the app, troubleshooting feature errors, and optimizing service experience (e.g., adapting feature compatibility based on device models).

2. Functions such as ad delivery and user usage data analytics are performed by third-party services (Admob, Firebase) respectively. For the rules governing the use of relevant information, please refer to their official privacy policies (see Section 1.2 of this Policy). MyNotesSafe does not participate in the use of such information.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

1. Currently, we do not proactively share or transfer your personal information to third parties. If personal information needs to be shared or transferred under special circumstances, or if you request us to provide your personal information to a third party, we will either obtain your explicit consent directly or verify that the third party has obtained your explicit consent.

2. We will not publicly disclose the personal information we collect. If public disclosure is required by law, we will inform you of the purpose of disclosure, the type of information to be disclosed, and any sensitive information that may be involved, and obtain your explicit consent.

6. Revisions to This Policy

We may revise this Policy from time to time. If there are changes to the terms of this Policy, we will display the revised Policy to you via push notifications or pop-ups when you log in to the app or update the app version. We will only collect, use, and store your personal information in accordance with the revised Policy after you click the “Agree” button in the pop-up.

7. Protection of Minors’ Information

We attach great importance to the protection of minors’ personal information. If you are a minor under 18 years of age, you must obtain written consent from your parent or legal guardian before using MyNotesSafe services. If you are the legal guardian of a minor and have questions about the minor’s information used in the service, please contact us through the method specified in Section 8 of this Policy.

**Important Note**: We will not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete such information immediately.

8. Contact Us

If you have any complaints, suggestions, or questions, please send an email to awfsksk@gmail.com. We will process your feedback as soon as possible.

This English (U.S.) version aligns with U.S. app store compliance requirements (e.g., clarity on third-party data collection, COPPA-related minors’ protection) and maintains consistency with the Chinese version’s core content. If you need to adjust terms for specific U.S. state regulations (e.g., CCPA) or refine wording, let me know.
